Erasmus+ mobility: finally back to travelling at full speed
Spain, Malta, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and even Togo… it’s official: after two years of uncertainty and restrictions, Erasmus+ mobility has returned to its pre-COVID pace! In fact, over the last year, 102 mobility programmes have been carried out: 79 for students from Canossian vocational training centres throughout Italy and 23 for staff. Not only Europe, but also Africa: the big news this summer was the two-week extra-EU mobility programme in Togo for some students from the Canossa Fashion Centre in Trento. From the satisfaction questionnaires we administered to those who participated, to date, 83% of respondents say they are truly satisfied with the experience and 94% would go again without hesitation. We can only be happy with these great results! In addition, some students from the Cfp Canossa in Magenta and the SFP Canossiana in Verona took part in learning weeks in Switzerland, Finland and soon in Portugal, participating in the CS21 project: the students worked in international teams made up of participants from seven different countries, developing creative projects related to sustainable development goals.
In addition to mobility abroad, we also organised training weeks for staff at our Fidenza, Verona and Treviso offices, hosting experts from the Netherlands and Germany. In particular, two Dutch teachers from Friesland College conducted a three-day training course for staff in the IeFP area of ENAC ER, teaching new methods for communicating more flexibly with others, better analysing the reality around us and reducing interpersonal conflicts. In addition to soft skills, there was also an opportunity to work on technical skills: in fact, the Canossiana SFPs in Verona and Treviso hosted a design and communication lecturer from the Mediencollege in Berlin to update their digital skills.
We conclude with a major change: from 2021, ENAC will support the Canossa Campus, leader of the consortium, and the entire network of Canossian schools in Italy in the organisation of mobility programmes. This means that now, in addition to the Vocational Training Centres, the Canossian Schools are also beginning to take part in Erasmus+ initiatives.
