VET2Sustain

The Project
The aim of the project is to develop cooperation between VET and working life in European countries. The idea is to find ways to promote employment, professional skills, and competences in different European countries. Vocational education and training (VET) is a fundamental component of preparing individuals for working life. As labor market needs evolve and change, VET must also adapt to ensure that it remains relevant and effective in preparing students for the future of work. Meanwhile, the partners will confirm cooperation between VET institutions, companies, national authorities, and other stakeholders by developing joint VET qualifications. The aim is to create a strong, future-oriented European network that will develop a vision, strategy, and action plan with the goal of strengthening cooperation in the future. A new communication platform will be created for the new network.
Goals
- Increase the attractiveness of vocational education and training (VET) in Europe;
- Develop a strategic approach to maintain the high quality of VET and ensure that digitalization, inclusion, green transition, and internationalization are considered key elements in the implementation of VET.
Activities
Through our actions, which include a series of events (workshops and meetings) at national/regional and international level, we aim to reach more than 300 students, 150 representatives from the world of work, and numerous VET teachers, policy makers, potential students, and their parents. We will also create an online platform for VET operators.
Overall, VET must remain resilient, flexible, and adaptable to ensure it responds to the needs of the ever-changing labor market. By focusing on digital skills, soft skills, lifelong learning, collaboration with employers, diversity, and inclusion, VET can prepare students for the jobs of the future.
